Things You Must Know About Antibiotics

Did you ever take an antibiotic for common cold or fever and next you started suffering from restlessness, incoherence and felt a total state of mental confusion? Did you just get irritated at everything and was at the verge of crying? If yes, then you have been a victim of “delirium” because of the medicines you took for your sickness.

Antibiotics are a special class of medicines or scientifically categorized drugs that help to eradicate the harmful and disease-causing bacteria that attack our bodies and invade them. With more breakouts of illnesses, the use of antibiotics like amoxicillin, sulfonamides, cefepime have increased to an alarming level.
There are many instances where people take these medicines on their own without consulting a specialist. The horror starts when the “bad” bacteria starts developing a resistance against the overly used antibiotics and becomes undefeatable. Yes, this is right! They become so strong that no such drug works against them anymore.
Question arises here is that how to keep ourselves safe and sound then? The answer to this is simple which is always to consult a certified doctor and take such kind of antibiotics when prescribed.
Recent researches have indicated that the antibiotics are affecting the brain and interrupting the basic cognitive abilities such as thinking, sleeping patterns, logical reasoning and controls.
Hallucination has been attributed to the frequent use of antibiotics which disturbs the overall system of the body. So, the next time you feel starting a fever or flu, avoid taking antibiotics and let the natural healing begins on its own. There is absolutely no use of taking antibiotics when you have respiratory viral infections. Antibiotics kill bacteria, not viruses!
Still, some doctors prescribe antibiotics for viral infections as an extra precaution. But the practice of giving antibiotics as a preventive measure “may backfire” and the reason for this is that antibiotics wipe out the gut microbiome and this weakened microbiome somehow impairs your immune system.
Thus, it is important to consult your doctor and start eating healthy to avoid minor health issues as a strong immune system will prevent you from becoming sick frequently.
